Water and Land
I find every outdoor activity very relaxing when the sun is on the water it comes alive with little sparkles running
all over the smooth waves ...it gives one such peace of mind just to sit still and stare at the water movement.
It rejuvenates the mind, body and the soul.
This lake is in Toolenburg, Haarlemmeneer and there were so many swans and ducks cruising slowly and silently along the water edges.
This is a typical canal with houses all on the waterfront ... just imagine packing your picnic basket, taking your boat out and cruise on the water for the day. This was also in Toolenburg at the beginning of Autumn.
This is my most favourite place to go in the summer. . .it is Kaag Island and from here you can literally watch hundreds of boats go by while you sit in your armchair with your picnic basket under a big tree.
This is a scene you can see every day driving along the canal in the direction of Kaag, lots of windmills and in summer plenty of bicycles, people & boats.
